Jon W. Adams

Jon has 10 years of experience in both 3D modeling/animation and 3D laser scanning. He has conducted field investigations and analyzed hundreds of motor vehicles and sites and is an expert in producing three-dimensional exhibits based on accurate measurement information. Jon has planned, overseen, and compiled data for many historical preservation/building documentation projects, including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Ferryboat Binghamton, and Mount Moriah Cemetery Gatehouse, all of which appear on the list of U.S. National Historic Landmarks and are often used as examples in educational seminars that Jon presents to the industry, law firms, insurance companies, and more.

 

Biography

Jon earned an associate degree in Information Technology: Multimedia from ITT Technical Institute prior to attending the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University, where he completed an advanced certificate course in Computer Animation: 3D Animation. He has taken many courses related to the proper use and interpretation of 3D laser scanning data/equipment and holds a Certificate in the operation and use of the FARO Focus 3D Laser Scanner. Jon holds professional Certifications for AutoDesk 3ds Max in Models to Motion and Surface and Look Development. He is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a licensed Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) remote pilot. Jon has been utilizing UAS-based photography to produce 3D photogrammetric data since 2014 and is a Pix4D Certified Expert.

When Jon isn’t working, he enjoys playing and watching sports, playing board games with his friends and family, and attending live comedy shows.
